Mary Elder Jacobsen works in writing and editing. Since working at Inner Traditions Publishing, she has been a freelance editor, working with a variety of publishers, individuals, and organizations–such as Steerforth Press, Tompkins Conservation and the Foundation for Deep Ecology, the Highstead Foundation, Art at the Kent, RavenMark, and Northeast Wilderness Trust–to dot their i’s and cross their t’s, giving projects editorial support ranging from proofreading to copyediting to line editing to brainstorming and more. Recent projects include generating social media content for nonprofits, polishing gallery materials for art exhibits, and copyediting Our Better Nature: Hopeful Excursions in Saving Biodiversity, edited by Curt Lindberg and Eric Hagen, and copyediting and style development for Wildlands in New England: Past, Present, and Future.
