Long drawn to black-and-white illustration, Mary Elder Jacobsen enjoys exploring by hand in various media–whether pen & ink, pencil, scratchboard, or relief print. Some of her illustrations have ended up on book covers, in book and magazine interiors, as logos or stationery, and elsewhere. Some have been inspired by poems. Some she’s done just for fun.
